Homer Simpson is a dad and the safety inspector at the nuclear power plant and is not a very good worker. Homer is stupid lazy and has explosive anger. Homer is jealous of his neighbor Ned and his family and easily angered by Bart. Homer is an alcoholic and often spends his evenings drinking beer at Moe’s tavern. Homer will often strangle Bart in a cartoonish manor and Bart will strangle him back but this idea was dropped. Homer does not hide strangling Bart, he will sometimes do it in public. Homer has a complex relationship with his children. He will betray Bart but the two of them share adventures and are sometimes friends. One of the best examples of this are when they made a team to write a book. Homer and Lisa have very different personalities and he often over looks her talents she usually has nothing to do with Homers plans. Homers thoughtlessness often makes his family mad but he is a caring Father and Husband. He has a horrible relationship with his dad the Simpsons usually try to avoid Abe (Homers dad) but he often shows love for him. Homer would gladly sell his soul to the devil for a doughnut. He has brief and rare flashes of intelligence but these are over looked by his mainly periods of rage and stupid. All Simpson men have a gene that makes them dumb after a while. In one episode the doctors realized the reason for his stupidity is a crayon lodged up his nose so he has surgery to remove it and it makes his IQ go from 55 to 105 when he has a higher IQ he bonds with Lisa but Moe is not happy so he fixes it.
