Harry is back at the Dursley's, and every night they have guests, they lock Harry into his room. Uncle Vernon had people from work over, and when Harry entered his bedroom, there was a strange elf creature who was telling Harry not to go back to Hogwarts. Harry refuses this and Dobby the house elf, starts down the stairs. He snaps his fingers and the massive cake moves up, over to one of the ladies from Uncle Vernon's work. He snaps again, Dobby is gone, and the cake falls onto her head.

Uncle Vernon is so mad that He bars up Harry's Window. But soon later, Ron and his two older twin brothers, Fred and George, come to save him... In a flying car! They take them back to the Weasly's house, where Harry spends the rest of his summer. Harry goes shopping for more supplies, and they are off to Hogwarts.

Hogwarts has a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lockhart, who previously wrote autobiography's on his adventures and himself. As the Year goes on, Harry hears voices in the walls of the castles. Ron, Hermione, and Harry come up with an idea of dressing up like Slytherins, to get Draco Malfoy, who they believe is letting the monster loose, to get him to tell them his plan. The plan goes off track a bit, and Malfoy wasn't the criminal.

The Monster starts petrifying more and more students, even a cat. Things get really serious for Ron and Harry when Hermione is petrified. They go to visit her in the Hospital wing when they see a paper in her hand, and Madame Pompfrey gives them a mirror Hermione was also holding. But the paper mattered. It was on ----------. When the look you in they kill you, but if they just look at you, you become petrified.

Things get more personal for Ron when Ginny, his little sister, is not petrified, but kidnapped and taken into the Chamber of Secrets, by someone who says they are the heir of Slytherin. Harry and Ron take it upon themselves to save Ginny, and to find out who the true heir of Slytherin is. They go, but Ron cast a faulty spell, and set Harry and Ron apart with a wall of rocks. Harry finds Ginny, and tries saving her. HE looks up and a younger --------- is there, and tells him that Ginny had been writing in a diary, that had given her power to the man. Harry Defeats the man, destroys the diary, and Destroys the petrifying thing.

Harry and Ron save Ginny, all the Petrified people are better, and Gryffindor earns lots of House Points. See you next year, Harry.
