minecraft was created by the swedish Markus persson otherwise known as Notch. Notch created minecraft because he wanted to create a game where people could build what ever they wanted. it was officialy released on november 18th, 2011. its also a game for people to survive, fight, craft, mine, and build whatever you want. the development of minecraft was started on may 10th, 2009 and pre-orders for the full game started being accepted on June 13, 2009. On April 5, 2013, Minecraft for the computer reached 10 million sales.
