Infected Cadaver

This is the last stage for the infected host. Many times throughout the game you are forced to wear a gasmask to proceed in the game due to airborne spores. These remains are what cause this.

They are the remains of an infected host that died. The fungus then attaches the remains to its surroundings and starts releasing the deadly airborne spores.
